The Chickadee Station originally opened its doors on April 1st 1986,
by Lee Huston, who decided to open a bird store to start selling a few feeders and seed after a local seed store closed down.
Lee ran the Chickadee Station for 20 years.
In 2006, Ed and Deb Sturgeon bought the business from Lee and have been owners ever since. You'll often see 3 generations at the Chickadee Station; Ed Sr., Ed Jr. and grandson Jack and grand daughter Shaela.
